The Phoenix Resides in all of Us

My heart is wild
Like fire, it rages
Scorched by flames
It cannot be tamed
I’m wary of flames
Yet they engulf me
What’s brittle ignites
What’s dead burns away
What doesn’t destroy
Strengthens me
The fire around
Is no match
For the fire within me
And like the Phoenix,
I rise from the ashes
Renewed and reborn
Basking in radiance
No longer wounded
but whole with purpose
Soaring into the world,
Never defeated.
